All tours depart from Kilrush Marina in Co. Clare. The ferry journey takes approximately 20 minutes, including passage through the marina’s lock gates. Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure.​

Your ticket covers a return ferry trip, a guided walking tour of the monastic sites, and a complimentary walking map. You’ll have between 2 to 2.5 hours to explore the island.​

Yes, we offer the standard Scattery Island Visit and the Great Island Experience, which provides additional time and an audio tour of the lighthouse and battery areas.​

Absolutely! Children receive a special walking map with a coloring page to engage them in the island’s flora, fauna, and birdlife. Once on the island, they can also enjoy rock painting or dress up as a viking and conquer the island!

Comfortable walking shoes, a waterproof jacket, water, snacks, and sunscreen are advisable. If you’ve booked an international language audio tour, don’t forget your earphones.​

Yes, free parking is available at Kilrush Marina for visitors joining the tour. There is also street parking in the street adjacent to the Marina.
